Species Information
- Evergreen tree growing up to 20 m tall. Crown dense and rounded, branches pendulous. Leaves c. 20-30 cm long, pinnately compound with 8-12 pairs of leaflets. Young leaves attractive brown with green speckles, pendulous. Flowers c. 5-8 cm long, red petals with yellow stamens, in dense globular clusters. Fruits are seed pods, long, brown, and furry.
