Species Information
- Large shrub or small tree growing up to 10 m tall with pendulous and weeping branches. Leaves 2.5-14 cm long, leathery, narrowly elliptic with a pointed tip, alternately arranged. Crushed leaves emit an aromatic odour. Flowers bright red, arranged in spikes on and around the ends of branches, petals 3.4-5.9 mm long and inconspicuous, stamens prominently erect. Fruits woody capsules.

- Along watercourses, mainly in sandstone and granite habitats
