- Attractive small to medium-sized deciduous or semi-deciduous tree. Inflorescence is a raceme or panicle, many-flowered, up to 16 cm long. Terminal bud on leafy shoots or lateral on the short side of branches. Flowers whitish to reddish or buff. Crown blossoms with pink flowers after leaf fall in places with a distinct dry season. Fruits 20-60 cm long, pendent, cylindrical.
