- Deciduous tree growing up to 45 m tall with an open crown and slender branches. Leaves 5-7 cm long, oval to elliptic-oblong, opposite. Flowers 1.5-2.5 cm long, white or pink, clustered along leafless twigs or behind young leaves. Ellipsoid to narrowly ovoid fruits 1.2-1.8 cm long, with a pointed tip.
