1. Description
  • Evergreen tree growing up to 40 m tall with a dense rounded crown. Leaves 15-30 cm long, elliptic to oblong, often asymmetric, margins shallow-toothed. Flowers 7-10 cm across, bright yellow with red-purple stamens, upward-facing in terminal branched clusters of 3-12. Fruits c. 5 cm across, red to white, splitting open into a star-like shape with 5-9 spreading boat-shaped segments.
