Species Information
- Solitary feather-leafed palm up to 10 m tall, c. 50 cm in diameter. The crownshaft is grey to white; leaf sheaths are arranged in 3 overlapping rows or ranks, giving the trunk a triangular shape. Young leaves and sheaths covered with rusty brown tomentum. Leaves 10 m long; leaflets stiffly erect, regularly arranged, covered with greyish tomentum. Inflorescence grows within the lower leaf sheaths, much branched; 1.2-1.5 m long. Fruits c. 2.5 cm across, ovoid; greenish yellow to white.
