Species Information
- Large strangling fig growing up to 20 m tall with a spreading crown. Abundant aerial roots spread to 100 m or more and turn woody, forming pillar-like prop roots once they reach the ground. Leaves 2-6 cm long, hairy, coriaceous, ovate to elliptic. Hairy globose figs 1.5-2 cm in diameter, ripening pinkish red, sessile and in axillary pairs.
