  • Small to medium-sized evergreen tree, often 8-15 m tall but reaching 25 m. Leaves 5-26 cm long, obovate, opposite. Flowers 3-9 cm across, tubular, white to pale yellow, turning orange, solitary. Fruits 1.5-5 cm across, smooth, globose, splitting into 5-8 parts exposing seeds in an orange to a reddish pulp.
