Species Information
- Small semi-deciduous to fully deciduous tree 4-10 m tall, with a loosely formed crown, and similar to J. mimosifolia except that the leaflets are blunt-tipped, and the flowers are paler with shallower cups. Fruits are pods c. 5 cm across, rounded, flattened, woody and with winged seeds.

- Planted as an ornamental and can become naturalised outside its native distribution. Jacaranda obtusifolia subsp. rhombifolia became established in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve in Singapore, where it is potentially invasive. The bark is used in traditional medicine to treat skin diseases and the wood for timber. [1]
