Species Information
- Deciduous tree usually growing up to 45 m tall, occasionally up to 60 m tall. Straight, cylindrical bole 60-149 cm in diameter; can be free of branches for up to 25 m. Steep, thick, and plank-like buttresses up to 6 m high.
- Southeast Asia: Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia
- An emergent tree in freshwater peat-swamp forests, usually at elevations below 150 m. Also found in sub-montane forests.
