Species Information

1. Description
  • Tree up to 9.15 m tall, diameter up to 27.5 cm. Bark ashy-brown or grey, smooth. Branchlets glabrous, sparsely lenticellate or not. Inflorescence dichasial or cincinnate, 6-6.5 cm long with axes 1-3.5 cm long and branches 1.2-2.2 mm wide, glabrous or puberulent in upper parts. Sepals ovate or oblong, 1.6-3 by 0.9-2.4 mm, 1.1-2.2 times as long as wide, apex rounded to acute, ciliate, glabrous outside and inside. Stamens inserted 23-40 mm from the corolla base, which is 0.8-0.9 of corolla tube length in rehydrated flowers. Ovaries 1.2-1.5 mm high, glabrous or, rarely, very sparsely pubescent on top. Fruit with a sharp deltoid spur, 27-35 by 10-14 by 3-5.5 mm, spur 8-13 mm long, glabrous.
