Species Information
- Medium-sized deciduous tree growing up to 25 m tall with a dense rounded crown. Leaves 12-18 cm long, elliptic-oblong, opposite. Flowers very showy, 5-7 cm across, bright pink to purple, and in branched clusters. Fruits are capsules 1.8-2.5 cm long, oval or about globose, and seated on the calyx with 6 recurved lobes.
