Species Information
- Evergreen or partly deciduous tree growing up to 20 m tall. Trunk armed with sharp prickles when young. Crown a distinctive pagoda shape with open horizontal branching. Leaves 18-40 cm long, broadly obovate, opposite. Flowers 3-4 cm long, funnel-shaped, creamy yellow in dense terminal clusters. Fruits 2-3 cm long, ellipsoid, dull green.
