Species Information
- Large deciduous tree growing up to 36 m tall with a large, dome-shaped crown. Leaves digitate with 5-9 leaflets 10-15 cm long. Flowers 2-2.5 cm across, dark red, foul-smelling, unisexual, in loose branched drooping clusters. Fruits 8-12 cm in star-like clusters of 3-5 on a long common stalk behind leaves, green maturing brick red, dehisce exposing bluish-black seeds.
