- Large evergreen tree growing up to 30 m tall with a rounded bushy crown. Leaves 12-20 cm long, elliptic-ovate, opposite. Flowers 2.5-3.8 cm across, white in dense terminal or axillary clusters. Fruits c. 4 cm long, ellipsoid, remaining green when ripened.
- South-eastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, and Borneo
