- Small bushy evergreen tree growing up to 15 m tall, bark thin, papery, flaky, becoming orange-brown. Leaves 2.5-8 cm long, lanceolate to elliptic, opposite. White flowers 2.4-4 cm long in terminal or axillary clusters. Fruits c. 6 mm across, globose, ripening white.
